Wewt! Got a letter today from the DMV... My custom plate was approved and is being manufactured. HELL YAH

For those who missed it, I will soon be the owner of this official VA license plate:

I got an IM today from some random stranger who asked me if I drew this jpg:



To which I replied "yah", cuz I did. This feller's in a band in NY... Apparently they asked a local artist to draw up a cool picture for their first CD album cover. So he did... And apparently what he did was find my jpg and redraw it in marker. L4m3. Bandguy finds my original jpg (need to find what google search brings it up) and goes "wtf" and contacts me. So that's all been hammered out -- band is scrapping what the guy drew and using, with permission and proper credits, my image. Wewt. That makes 2 bands and one short story that use that same jpg ;D... I should rethink this art thing, no?

Also: as I was typing this up on my hiptop while driving, I veered slightly and drove on the "wake up" strip on the side of the highway. I of course corrected my path of travel... But apparently that but of jarring was juuuuust enough to re-short my driver's side headlight, which had been dark for about two weeks. It's back on, now, and shining happily... Woot! Don't need to take the car in for fixin' now!
